Selenium supplementation is regulated due to the fact that there is a tight margin between deficient and toxic levels. Selenium supplementation should be based upon the map below. We happen to live in a Selenium deficient area and need to supplement with injectable Selenium over and above the legal limit that can be added to feed or mineral.
